What recently developed technology—cell phones, wi-fi, laptops, handheld gaming devices, etc.—do you think has had the worst influence on how people behave in public?

View 501 Answers

Cell phones and home gaming systems like the XBOX 360.  Parents are giving their kids today cell phones when they are in grade 6 or even lower!  Do you know how much the ratio of children getting hit by cars has changed.  Children are always on their cell phones now when walking on the streets and crossing the road NOT PAYING ATTENTION.  Parents think by giving cell phones to their children that they are PROTECTING them but they are definitely not.  I know I can only really focus on one thing at a time, and I mean real focus, not just oh yeah I can do these 2 things at the same time and actually pay attention.  Whenever I am on my cell crossing the street or walking across driveways I always take my cell away from my ear and pay attention to the road so there's no possiblity of me getting run over because of my stupidity.  XBOX's are terrible too.  There are so many people immersed in the gaming world who don't even pay attention to their own life and health ebbing away.  Generation XL is the worst, the Grade 12's of today.  No wonder the government is putting mandatory daily activity laws for children in highschool like me!  So many kids are avoiding talking to people face to face, getting physical, AND they're not getting things done that need to be done to determine their future.  Modern today is fucked.

Do you prefer texting or talking on the phone?

TALKING ON THE PHONE!
I LOVE hearing peoples voices.  Texting gets really annoying and just plain montonous.
Hearing peoples' voices means hearing emotion.  Way better, in every single way.

Oh oh i really wanted that thing
I just want to sing
I love you baby
Won't you bring
All the flowers you
Find out in the garden
Don't tell me the truth
That your heart has hardened

But you don't want me anymore
How can it be
Look what you've done to me

Oh oh
Oh oh the bee does quickly sting
I was wondering
If you could maybe darling
Think? I'd give everything
If you'd grant my love a pardon
And all the fruits
Again would fill the garden

But you don't want me anymore
How can it be?
Look what you've done to me

Oh oh
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh

Today in 1893 U.S. President Benjamin Harrison declared full amnesty for Mormon polygamists. Is it the government's place to define which marriages are valid and which are not?

View 500 Answers

For the most part it is the governments job.  If you want to fool around with more than one person, you should be single.
You should not be married.  Being married to several other people.. is just not right.  I understand that it's very well
possible to love more than one person, but that doesn't mean you need to be married to both people.  Marriage is giving
yourself to someone for life is it not?  I guess it really depends.. like if the person is known as a polygamist.. and they're
still married to many people that are aware of the polygamists views.. then i guess it is alright.  Even if it is seen as absurd
to people who only approve of loving a single person in a romantic way.  I don't know.  It's a very hard thing to decide.
As we all know everyone has different views of things.

As the holiday season draws to a close, you might be feeling a little strapped for cash. Would you ever consider selling one of your organs (bodily organs, that is) if you really needed the money?

View 500 Answers

That is absolutely ridiculous and I would never do that.  I would never spend so much money that I would not be able to survive until I was able to attain more.  Also I have parents, I live with them, and when you have parents, there is often money around.  Whether it's yours or not who cares.  As long as you don't go around selling body parts then it's all good.  We were given most body parts for a reason...

Happy birthday, Nostradamus. Many people consider the prophecies of Nostradamus to be uncannily accurate, while others remain skeptical. Do you think it's possible to predict the future?

View 500 Answers

I do believe in people being able to predict the future.  There are so many prophetic things that have happened in the world, people only believe they are coincidences because they are scared, or they simply choose to ignore it because of their religion or because of certain beliefs, which is totally fine.

It's all a matter of being tune in with the world and every aspect of it.  Being able to truly feel and use all your senses to the fullest extent and discover your hidden senses.

Then again, I'm a fan of
wicca.

If you had to choose, would you rather live in the mountains or by the ocean?

View 501 Answers

I would much rather live by the ocean than the mountains.
And that is because I absolutely adore the wind, and the
wind comes off the ocean.  I have come to love mountains
as well since I live near a large mountain range myself but
out of the two, I definitely choose the ocean.

so recently -sunday-, I bought this really amazing necklace.  it's some sort of silver metal that is in the mold of a womans torso and up with her arms above her head, hands joined.  it's sort of like a goddess type deal.  there are 7 jewels on it representing all the chakras on the body.  I thought I would just write about it a bit.  keep in mind, these are not my own words and I am not claming they are except for the bracketed exerpts of my own writing.  I already knew about this stuff due to a poster in my living room but I am copying the wording below from a card that came with my necklace for what I assume are exact definitions

Crown Chakra - Enlightenment (basically on the crown of your head/forehead)
The Crown Chakra relates to divine guidance, freewill and unity with the greater world beyond.  When balanced, this chakra beings enlightenment, spiritual connection and bliss.

Third Eye Chakra - Intuition (on your brow)
The Third Eye Chakra connects to the deeper level of being-the-spirit.  Aligning to this energy center gives us enhanced perception, wisdom and understanding.

Throat Chakra - Communication (on your throat, hense the name)
The Throat Chakra is related to communication, voice, rhythm and harmony.  Tuning in to this energy center enables one to communicate clearly and fluidly, and to express oneself creatively.

Heart Chakra - Compassion (over your heart, once again hense the name)
The Heart Chakra is associated with love, forgiveness and compassion.  A healthy Heart Chakra allows us to feel deep emotions, have hope, and live peacefully with those around

Power Chakra - Transformation (solar plexus)
The Power Chakra rules over your personal power and will.  Opening this energy center clears negative patterns and bring ambition, intelligence and spontaneity.

Sacral Chakra - Creativity (over your belly)
The Sacral Chakra is connected to sexuality, emotions and creativity.  To realign this chakra is to restore a depth of feeling and harmony in relationships, and be open to creativity.

Root Chakra - Stability (over your root)
The Root Chakra represents our connection to the natural earth and the physical world.  Opening this chakra will bring one a sense of grounding, stability, courage and patience.

this is a picture of my necklace on me.. it's not so great a picture but you get the idea.

so yesterday, me and my friend decided we didn't really want to go to our third block class because we had a substitute teacher we -well I- didn't like. so we decided to go to the library where we -me I suppose- could do homework. we then of course got distracted and decided to have some fun. she wanted to write something, I gave her my notebook and told her to write haikus. we looked around to see if we found any topics.
  1. I saw a starcraft poster
  2. "T" a girl I didn't like
  3. A picture of Amsterdam and a
  4. First Nations picture of a bird framed on the wall.
afterwards we decided to play a game. just a classic, she writes down a story with fill in the blanks of nouns, verbs, adjectives, body parts.. etc. and then I say random nouns and verbs and adjectives and such to fill them in. our whole little exercise of creativity turned into something like this..:

"HAIKU'S BY A GENIUS MIND. >:D "I LOVE THEM"

starcraft club is weird
i do not really like it
why does anyone?

T is unwanted
by everyone and their dog
she should just go die

i have never been
to amsterdam but i think
it sounds pretty dope

some don't believe in
first nations teradactyls
but i really do

NOVO THE NOBLE GENTLEMAN.
one upon a fern in little italy, there lived a noble gentleman. his name was novo. novo had a pet platypus and a malignant case of herpes, but he did not let that stop him from being the noblest handicap in town. As he walked home to his little trailer park one day, he came across a bell. he waved politely and continued on his book, but the bell followed him. He was so attracted that he soared up into the garland and stayed there for 87 years! the end.

I really like skipping. it is just so plasticy. sometimes when i'm all done i scrape my armpit. it feels just like scoobadiving. my mom told me its bad to cut so i slapped her stocking. i was so gleeful that i slammed the chair and rubbed my lip. then the luckiest thing happened! my mom walked in on me and grounded me for 5 days! i hate my mom but i still love to pull her window. the end.

my friend barry has a big tibia. his fingernail is connected to his earlobe. it looks a little dull but i don't mind. i wish my eyelash was connected to my thigh. once me and barry went on a ferris wheel and his tongue was so big that it got stuck on a tape and the whole ride broke down! luckily a bookshelf broke our fall. i guess barry's throat is kind of a blessing because it's always sliding me. the end.

one day veronica ran around the penny until she threw up a santa clause. she then leaped onto an acorn and hurt her penis. afterwards she kicked to the circus because her sushi became moldy. she became confused because her nipple squeezed away. the end."
